보이는 것과 보이지 않는 것-1,2 이 제목의 작품들은 시점(눈의 위치)에 따라서 작품이 달라 보이도록 앞유리와 그림 사이의 거리를 적당히 두면서 양쪽에 같은 형태를 반복했다. 사람이나 시대,어떤 지역이 각각 가지고 있는 관점이나 가치관의 다양성에 대해 긍정적으로 수용하자는 것이 주제이다.
실상과 허상-1,2 과거에는 우리 눈에 보이는 것은 실상이고 거울에 비치거나 어떤 매개체를 거친 것을 허상으로 규정했었다. 그러나 최근에는 우리가 바라보고 있는 세계란 한정된 시각으로 인식하고 있는 한정된 범위의 세계라고 밝혀지고 있다. 예를 들면 각각의 생물은 이 세상을 각각 다르게 인식한다.-우리가 믿고 있는 실상이란 과연 실상인가? 그리고 우리는 또한 허상을 통해서 진실에 접근하기도 한다. 그렇다면 허상은 허상일 뿐인가 질문해 본 작품이다. 그리고 상자 속의 거울은 그 속에서 과연 어떤 상을 맺고 있는가에 대해서도 생각해 본다.
우연성과 필연성 나무상자에 가루 안료를 담아 서서히 흘러 내리면서 그것이 만들어내는 모양이 변해가는 과정을 보여주는 작품이다. 그러한 우연한 형태가 가능한 것은 필연 때문이라고 생각한다.
"What can be seen and cannot be seen-1,2" These works were watched the differences as various view(standing) points. In these works, I want to represent about the acceptions of various points of views.
"A real image and a virtual image-1,2" 'The real images' in which we believe are not always real. For example We can only see very narrow sights with our eyes. As one species can observe their own ways. Humanbeings watch this world different then other species. As 'virtual images' we named what be seen through by mirror and through various media. But sometimes through of them, we can know and understand near the truth. Are virtual images only virtual?
"A necessity and a happenstance" Powder pigments in wooden box flow slowly and make unexpected shapes spontaneously. Such conditions should be made by the necessity.
